Who is Krystan?

Krystan Ramcharan is a Jamaican entrepreneur, anime lover, and environmental enthusiast. She currently holds an associate degree in management information system (MIS) from the Montego Bay Community College. She hopes to continue in the field of information technology and is currently making the necessary steps in doing so. She also has the drive and determination that most entrepreneurs have, this sees her doing interviews and meetings for online social media management gigs and other forms of freelancing work. She is an avid believer in self-development and finds herself doing courses on Coursera and EDX whenever she can.

Her Background

Krystan lives and grew up in Coral Gardens, Montego Bay, St. James where she attended school and made most of her ever-growing achievements. Growing up as a child with attention deficit disorder (ADD), Krystan found herself attending the Heinz Simonitsch School, a private high school with fewer children and which meant that greater individual attention could have been given to their students. This worked in Miss Ramcharan’s favour as she progressed through the school system, form 1 to form 5, and graduated with seven CSEC subjects. From there, she went on to do her associate degree in MIS and started her Bachelors at the University of the West Indies (UWI) in Computer Science. Although her UWI degree is currently on a hiatus due to financial constraints, she still pushes herself to become more. This is what determination and never giving up looks like.

Her Likes

An avid lover of anime, she revels in drawing and painting and Krystan loves to read science fiction novels. Some of her favourite anime’s include but are not limited to death note, code geass, stein gate, and hunter x hunter. Coupled with that, she likes to play video games in her spare time. Krystan is a person that has a lot of likes and lives herself enjoying what she does. She also wishes to get her Padi certification which would allow her to be a licensed scuba diver; which aligns well with her passion for swimming.

The Entrepreneur

Currently, Krystan Ramcharan operates a fast-food delivery business with her two sisters in Montego Bay. The business goes by a catchy and easy-to-remember name “Delivereazze”. They deliver from store to home and even go as far as doing grocery shopping for their customers. She doesn’t stop there, Krystan invests in local companies on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) along with investing in cryptocurrency. She also does social media management while searching for gainful employment.

Work Experience

Miss Ramcharan started her work life as a sales clerk at Flights of Fantasy a local jewellery store in Montego Bay. From there she worked at UWI’s western campus’ MITS where she helped students with various IT-related problems. On a more regional note, she ventured to the Sandals Resort in St. Lucia on an internship. She worked in the IT department as one of only four persons tasked with the job of servicing the entire hotel’s IT system and network. Now 25 years old, she hopes to get her Bachelors at a recognized university and push forward with her career and experience.

Social Issue

The issue of climate change weighs heavily on the heart of Krystan. She actively tries and hopes to one day free our sea, beaches, and rivers from plastic waste that are destroying the homes of aquatic creatures. She donates when she can to the cause and lends physical effort where possible.

In conclusion, Miss Ramcharan is a very interesting, ambitious, and hardworking individual. She always has goals and always pushes to meet them. In completing this digital media internship, she looks to gain knowledge on blogging and social media management. One can’t help but believe that that will be the case.
