We visited the community of Olympic Gardens, Kingston 11 to hand over a prize package to Live Well Jamaica’s Unsung Heroine for February 2017- Karlene Mills-Barrett.
In January 2017, Karlene was commissioned as Justice of the Peace for Kingston and St. Andrew, a well-deserved achievement as she is widely known in her parish as a guardian for vulnerable groups. She volunteers with the Heart Foundation of Jamaica, The Jamaica Epilepsy Association, the Jamaica Society for the Blind, the Olympic Gardens CDC, among others…it was no easy task pinning her down to hand over this prize! Congratulations Karlene and continue to do your amazing work!
