On Monday, April 23, students of the Corinaldi Primary School were gifted over 450 reusable plastic water bottles as a way to encourage them to reduce the use of disposable plastic bottles. The initiative was done in keeping with the Earth Day 2018 theme Let’s End Plastic Pollution.

Sandals MoBay Environment, Health & Safety Manager Hannif Richards shares the lens with grade 6 student Nathan Morrison after giving lecture to students of Corinaldi Avenue Primary about the dangers of plastic pollution.

Sponsored by the Sandals Foundation, the students were also given a lesson on the dangers of plastic pollution and how to better protect their communities and the city of Montego Bay against plastic pollution. Earth Guardians from Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Royal Caribbean, who are committed to protecting the environment shared in the activities with the enthusiastic students.
