In observance of World Blood Donor Day, Sandals Negril Resort and Spa teamed up with the National Blood Transfusion Service/Blood Bank (NBTS) to host a collection drive on the resort. In line with this year’s theme “donating blood is an act of solidarity,” scores of team members were out to donate to the cause. For those who were unable to participate for specific reasons, they still showed up and provided moral support to their colleagues. The NBTS also held educational sessions where they shared information on the importance of donating, the requirements to be a blood donor and most importantly, the aftercare measures donors need to practice so the process is a safe one for all involved.
