Almost 200 team members from Sandals Montego Bay turned out to the HEART Trust’s football field in Flankers, Montego Bay to participate in the flagship resort’s series of field activities. All were decked out in their respective house colours- red, green, blue and yellow- and were ready to engage in some friendly, yet highly competitive sport events consisting of netball, football, track and field, volleyball, dance and a domino tournament.

Here, the Gold Rushers’ cheerleaders are caught in action as they cheer on their teammates in the track and field events.

Members of staff were more than excited to remove their heels, gloves and hairnets to be treated to a day of jubilation at the recently held sports day. Team members were given the opportunity to express their creativity in their grand entrance to the event as they paraded bikes, Island Routes’ luxury mini-coopers, contracted acrobats and more to accentuate their routines and highlight their competitive advantage. There was no holding back when it came to the groups’ presentations as their cheerleaders and team members boasted faux leather jackets, camouflage dresses and knee-length boots to accessorize their costumes.

It was nothing short of exhilarating as participants were treated to music, food, prizes and the good company of their colleagues outside of work hours. In the end, “team yellow”, dubbed The Gold Rushers came out as champions of the day, followed by The Chelseanators (Blue), Avengers (Green) and the Blazers (Red).

This was only a preamp for the major sports day activity to include the ATL and Sandals Group of companies set to take place later this month.
