Miami-based Reggae/Dancehall-fusion upstarts Kapital Stone and Kheemo have teamed up on the Reggae fusion track, ‘Dem Vex’, produced by Dj Denson. The track is an anthem dedicated to believing in one’s self in the face of naysayers.  “It’s about understanding that your wins will get people upset but that’s alright,” Kapital Stone says, in describing the track. “Just keep winning regardless.” The drum-heavy beat is a modern take on old school Dancehall and is reminiscent of the current reggae revival taking place in Jamaica. “My aim overall is to make sure my music screams “I am Jamaican.” Because that’s what Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Sean Paul, and Shaggy did. They carried the Jamaican culture on their back on every track. And I believe this track does that very well and my plan is to continue on that path.”

Kapital Stone, in addition to working on more exciting singles (produced by DJ Densen and Kheemo) to cement himself in the Reggae-Fusion industry, has plans to release the visuals for ‘Dem Vex’ in a couple of weeks.

‘Dem Vex’ is out now across all digital streaming platforms.
